This set of exquisite botanical painting plates was inspired by a botanical illustration carefully drawn by students at Tokyo University of the Arts over a period of approximately two years. All the plants featured on the plates originate from the plateau area of Tanigawadake in Gunma Prefecture. These exquisite patterns are skillfully presented on porcelain plates using fine transfer techniques.
The plates are made by Miyama, a well-known Japanese porcelain manufacturer. Each piece is carefully fired at a high temperature of up to 1340 degrees Celsius, resulting in high-grade porcelain with a light texture and bright luster. A set of five plates, stored in an elegant wooden gift box, makes for a noble gift.
