"Kutani ware" is painted porcelain. It is named after Kutani, Japan, where it was born. It has a history of 350 years. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Chinese painted porcelain was introduced to Japan. It was loved by the local people and developed rapidly. Therefore, Japanese painted porcelain has a strong Chinese style. Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan is the main production area of Kutani ware today.
