These chopsticks are made using the Wakasa nematori technique from Fukui Prefecture, Japan's leading chopstick producer. Their bright blue and yellow design adds a cheerful atmosphere to everyday meals. The hexagonal chopsticks, resembling a pencil, offer a comfortable and stable grip, are non-slip, and conform to the hand's shape, showcasing the wisdom of traditional craftsmanship. The accompanying wooden box was made by a senior artisan in Shirakawa-cho, Gifu Prefecture, while the mizuhiki (water pipe) is meticulously handwoven by a long-established mizuhiki shop in Nagano Prefecture, founded in the first year of the Meiji era.
